Hi, I’m Sara Jafari — founder of Kids Corner Design, a mom of two, and a designer with a mission to make the world more magical, functional, and inclusive for children. With a Master’s degree in Architecture from UMass Amherst, a General Contractor license, and LEED AP BC+C accreditation, I specialize in designing environments that support learning, play, healing, and sensory development. While I’m on the path to becoming a licensed architect, I’ve already had the honor of designing everything from pediatric dental centers and daycares to indoor play areas and inclusive classrooms across the U.S. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of bringing unique playroom ideas and classroom theme ideas to life, using methods rooted in sustainable interior design. I’m proud that our work is now recognized among the top interior design firms focused on child-centered spaces.

Our Design Process & Approach

At Kids Corner Design, our process is thoughtful, collaborative, and built around one simple belief: children deserve spaces that inspire, support, and feel like their own.
We specialize in designing environments for children — whether it’s a sensory
playroom, a pediatric dental lobby, or an entire daycare. Each space is customdesigned to reflect your vision, meet your functional needs, and align with child

1. 🌿 Discovery Call

We start with a complimentary consultation to learn about your project, goals, budget, and timeline. This is where we listen closely and gather all the essentials to move forward with clarity

2. 🌿 Research & Concept Development

Once we’re aligned, we dive into the creative process. This includes mood boards, color palettes, layout ideas, and functional strategies — all rooted in what works best for children and your brand. We often introduce classroom decor and playroom ideas at this stage.

3. 🌿 Design Presentation

We’ll present a custom concept that includes 3D renders, material selections, and layout options tailored to your space. Your feedback here is everything — and we offer unlimited revisions to ensure it feels right

4. 🌿 Final Design Set

Once approved, we prepare your complete design package — including floor plans, elevations, finish specs, furniture schedules, and any custom details needed for implementation.

5. Implementation Support

You or your contractor can take it from here — but we’re never far. We offer optional support throughout the build-out to answer questions and ensure your vision is executed with care.
